Download a document as a PDF

You can quickly transform a document you're making in Google Docs or one you're downloading from your local drive to a PDF file and download it. This allows you to save it and then do whatever you want with it.

Sign up for Google Docs by going to their website. Then, to transform the text, simply follow these basic steps.

  1. Open your existing Google Docs folder or start a new one.
  2. From the menu, select File.
  3. Pick PDF Document from the pop-out menu under Download.

Save a document as a PDF

  3. Make sure the PDF is picked at the top of the Email as Attachment window under Attach as.
  4. Fill in the recipient, topic, and message information for the text. You should check the box to email a copy to yourself if you like.
  5. Select Send when you're done.
